In conjunction with the festive Christmas season, members of the Westwood Shores Civic Association will host a glittering Tour of Homes on Saturday, Dec. 10.
The tour of the six creatively decorated homes will be held 1-5 p.m. Tickets are $10 and all proceeds from the event will benefit the entire community through the various projects of the non-profit organization. A reception will be held in the Clubhouse following the tour.
Extraordinary homes that will be part of the tour include those of Ron and Jan Bedford, Randy and Donna Bonnette, David and Joyce Reinhardt, Joe and Katherine Mobley, and Dale and Chrissy Gunderson.
. Many of the homes also feature the extraordinary lake views associated with the area and offer those attending exciting decorating ideas that incorporate a variety of themes for their own homes.
Tour maps will be available at the front entrance of the Club House beginning at 12:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day of the tour.
In addition, a civic association committee will accept donations of baked goods to enhance the holiday experience.
Recently the civic association made a significant donation to the Property Owners Association (POA) to be used to purchase new tables and chairs for the clubhouse. The most recent project consisted of a Christmas food drive in conjunction with Lansberry Elementary School.
The civic association works with the POA to identify community oriented projects that can benefit from the hard work and dedication of the many volunteers.
The civic association hosts a monthly dinner for members of the association on the third Thursday of each month beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the clubhouse. Dinner tickets are $12 each. Residents are invited to attend. For additional information about the dinner contact Susan Keel at 281-450-6550.
